My name is Alfonso David Mier. I was born in 1981 in Santa Marta, a beautiful Colombian city embraced by the calm beaches of the Caribbean Sea. I am a musician and entrepreneur passionate about blending creativity, technology, education, and sensory experiences.

From 2002 to 2012, I worked as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in Bogotá, Colombia. Those ten years gave me a strong foundation in education, communication, and human connection—skills that continue to influence my work today in both music and business.

My musical journey began at the age of 10 with the piano. Four years later, I picked up the guitar and started composing music by the age of 15. I’ve been deeply influenced by classical music, rock, and film scores. Bands like Iron Maiden sparked my energy and passion for powerful melodies, while composers such as Chopin shaped my sense of structure and emotion. Film composers like John Williams and Hans Zimmer have profoundly impacted my creative vision, inspiring me to blend storytelling and sound in emotionally rich and cinematic ways.

I hold a degree in music with an emphasis in music production and sound design from UNAD (Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia) in Colombia, and I’ve worked on various film and multimedia projects as a composer and sound designer.

As an entrepreneur, I currently lead two distinct but complementary ventures:

Azariah is a high-end fragrance brand that creates sophisticated scent diffusion systems for homes and businesses. Inspired by minimalist elegance, Azariah delivers natural and continuous aroma experiences that elevate any space with a touch of refinement and well-being.

Nexuzz is a creative agency that specializes in web design and digital marketing. At Nexuzz, we craft strategic and visually engaging digital experiences that help brands grow and build meaningful connections with their audiences.

Both projects reflect my belief that great design—whether auditory, visual, or sensory—has the power to transform experiences and leave a lasting impression.

I’ve been deeply influenced by classical music, rock, and film scores. My musical journey began with piano lessons at the age of 10. By the time I was 14, I had picked up the guitar and began teaching myself how to play. At 15, I started composing my own ballads and rock songs, driven by a growing passion for music and creative expression.

Shortly after, I became a tenor in the public choir of the Institute of Fine Arts, where I was also introduced to the fundamentals of music theory. This experience deepened my understanding of vocal performance and formal music structure.

I later pursued a degree in music and audio production at UNAD (Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia) in Colombia. During my five years of study, I received formal training in advanced music theory, harmony, ear training, modal systems, orchestration, and other core areas of contemporary and classical music education.

After a long journey on the road of music I finally decided to venture into the world of film music composition using FL Studio and KONTAKT libraries. I have been focused on cinematic and relaxation music using frequencies to estimulate concentration, mood, better sleep, etcetera. It’s what they call “solfeggio frequencies”. I also create music with binaural beats. The binaural beats I create involve something I have called “massage for the brain” or “spa for the brain” by using a holophonic effect in the sound.  I have composed more than 20 tracks using KONTAKT virtual instruments in FL Studio. I am the director, composer and producer of the cinematic and relaxation music project CIRCUS DE TERRA circusdeterra.com. Last year I was hired to make the film scoring of a mini thriller serie named “SINCOPE”.
